The Reel World film series hosts monthly films on campus to raise awareness about other cultures and about global issues. Our intention is to encourage dialogue rather than to entertain.
All films are free and open to the public.

Reel World Film Series
Western faculty are invited to submit film proposals for the Reel World film series, which takes place during fall, winter and spring quarters each year. The films can be incorporated into a course, an event, or a club on campus, but will be shown to the community at large.
The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) sends out a call for titles each spring for the following year then selects the films to be included, creates a calendar of titles, and works with Western Libraries to purchase or rent the selected films.
Faculty who sponsor a title on the Reel World calendar publicize the event in their classes or clubs and lead a discussion about the film before or after the screening itself.
Contact Vicki Hamblin at firstname.lastname@example.org to recommend a title for AY2018-2019.
